Philippe has worked in various financial institutions, including CIIB, Boscher SA, and Fimat Banque, where he established the Alternative Investment Solutions division in 1999, providing high-value prime brokerage services to alternative investment participants. In January 2008, he took on the role of Head of the Prime Brokerage Group for Newedge Group. In December 2009, he became the Global Head of Prime Brokerage and Chairman of the Prime Brokerage Board. Vincent Tournant
Vincent joined Advisors & Partners LLP in London as Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer in November 2014, and brings with him the experience of working 25 years in the financial markets and investment management industry. Vincent worked as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer of London based Armstrong Investment Managers.
Prior to joining Armstrong IM, Vincent was the Global Head of Origination and Structuring of Société Générale & Crédit Agricole co-owned Newedge Group Prime Brokerage division in London. Vincent holds a Master’s degree in International Trade & Commodity Markets from CNAM Paris with specialisation in International Commodity markets’ trading & risk management, international trade finance, arbitration, international freight & transportation (rail, maritime, aviation, road and inland waterways) and graduated from IEA Paris in Business Administration.
Jonathan Cantouris
Jonathan is a Managing Partner and Head of Fund Structuring and Product Development at Advisors & Partners. With over two decades of experience in the Financial Services Industry, he has held senior management positions in product development, fund structuring, and sales. Jonathan has a proven track record in conceiving new investment initiatives and delivering complex projects for institutional asset managers and asset allocators.
He has expertise in fund structuring solutions, portfolio reporting, administration, custody, liquidity solutions, and risk management. Before his current role, Jonathan worked at the Singapore Stock Exchange and JP Morgan, where he was responsible for the coverage of asset managers and investment platforms. Between 2003 and 2011, he was the European Head of Originations and Structuring within the Prime Brokerage division at Newedge Group SA.

Michel Bourgery
Michel Bourgery is an experienced financier in the shipping and rail transportation industry with more than 35 years of expertise. He began his career as a chartered engineer in the oil and gas and nuclear sectors, and later established the shipping finance practice at BNP Paribas. During his tenure, he reviewed over 5,000 credit and investment transactions that ranged from ships to container boxes and freight rail wagons.
He was also a credit delegation holder and implemented the Basel system for BNP multi-billion USD portfolio spread over a global network of offices. From 2007 to 2009, he served as the Head of Corporate Finance at DVB Bank SE, specialising in air, sea and land transportation, rounding a deep understanding of capital markets and public and private investors. He then became the CFO of a shipping company that is now listed on the US stock exchange while also developing his own advisory and consultancy practice. He was an advisor to the board of VesselsValue, a web-based big data disrupter that offers online valuation, intelligence, and mapping services, since inception to 2022. Currently a senior expert at Third Bridge, a leading provider of industrial research and knowledge to investors. Michel is also deputy to the mayor of the island he lives on, in charge of finance and energy transition.
Pascal Varin
Pascal Varin is a highly experienced professional in the rail and transportation equipment industry, with more than 30 years of experience. From 1993 to 2009, he worked as the President of ERMEWA SAS, a large subsidiary of the state-owned French railway service SNCF, where he gained extensive experience dealing with the French and European rail industry.
After that, with his in-depth knowledge of the European and African rail freight market, Pascal relaunched the activity of the manufacturer Arbel Fauvet Rail (AFR) by holding a 10% stake in TWA along with TITAGARH Wagons Ltd, and serving as its CEO from 2010 to 2019. Pascal is a graduate of the specialist mechanical and electrical engineering school ESME-Sudria, where he earned his degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (1983 – 1988), and also holds a degree from INSEAD (IEP 2002).
Markus Neuland
With over 40 years of experience in the banking industry, Markus has primarily focused on multinational corporate banking and international transport markets. He has held leadership positions at Citibank and WestLB before joining DVB in 1994 as Senior Vice President and Co-Head of the Land Transport Division to establish the provision of financial services in asset lending, asset management, and corporate finance solutions.
Markus was responsible for creating customised financing structures for land transport assets including freight rail cars, locomotives, and rail equipment for the passenger market. He also played a key role in building core relationships with the leading European market players in the rail car leasing business. Currently, Markus serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of a leading logistics company in the automotive sector, and a member of the Investment Committee of a Luxembourg-based Investment Fund that mainly invests in rail freight wagons.
Zakary Souid
Zakary conducted market research and analysis of the freight rail business in Europe for Advisors & Partners in 2019, with a focus on environmental, legislative, and theoretical aspects of freight rail. He has re-joined the firm as Transportation Analyst, responsible for corporate and market research, financial modeling, and analysis of investment opportunities for A&P’s New Deal Origination Committee and Investment Advisory Committee.
Zakary is also responsible for the ongoing monitoring and valuation of investment portfolios in the transport equipment sector. He holds a BA in Micro-engineering from EPFL, one of Europe’s top engineering schools, and has been an EPFL teaching assistant. His abilities in mathematical analysis, mechanics, and coding, as well as his proficiency with mechanical gear, rolling stocks, and small electronics, make him efficient and result-driven.

Edouard Bridel
Edouard has 28 years expertise in the financial and banking industry where he developed an expertise in building and managing businesses in a UK regulated environment. He led the buyout of the UK bank “Bank & Clients PLC” from Virgin Entreprises in 2014 and was then for 7 years Head of Business Development and Board member, based in London and Montreal.
He co-founded Ocean Capital in 2002 an FCA regulated asset manager focused on structured finance. He started his career in 1994 in the mergers and acquisitions department (‘‘M&A’’) of Société Générale in London. Edouard is a French and British national.
Gerard Sander
Gerard Sander is a highly skilled and experienced specialist in corporate finance and investment banking, with over 30 years of experience. He spent 15 years at Lazard in Paris and London before co-founding Chester Capital, an M&A boutique that focuses on mid-size corporate transactions. Following this, he became the Head of Investment Banking for France at WestLB Panmure and later a Partner at Augusta & Co.
In the last decade, he has gained extensive experience in portfolio and asset management in Luxembourg. Gerard holds a Doctorate in Law, a degree as a Certified Public Accountant, a Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance from Sciences-Po Paris, and an Executive Program Certificate from Stanford University.

Stefan Corthouts
Stefan Corthouts is a seasoned banker with over 25 years of experience in the international funds industry. Prior to establishing Bucephale Consult, a consulting firm, he served as an executive director and market manager at J.P. Morgan Bank Luxembourg, a top provider in the Luxembourg market. During his tenure, he was a member of the bank’s senior management team, responsible for developing the global strategy, and advising managers of traditional global funds, hedge funds, and private equity funds on their Luxembourg product strategy.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Stefan held several senior positions at Citigroup and State Street. Stefan has worked in various international locations such as Brussels, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, and Singapore before settling in Luxembourg in 2001. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics, a degree from INSEAD, and is a member of the Luxembourg Institute of Directors (ILA), which certifies him as a director.
Eric Thomas
Eric is a highly experienced chartered accountant and certified statutory auditor with more than 40 years of experience in private banking, management companies, regulated and non-regulated funds, insurance companies, the press sector, and family-owned businesses. Professional expertise gained at Cabinet Thomas & Associés from 1974 to 2002, which later merged with Mazars in 2002, he continued to work at Mazars until December 2016.
